Stripe is the payments layer behind serious products: Checkout, Billing, Customer Portal, and webhooks you actually test.
This personal site uses Stripe Checkout for paid packs: templates and scripts. The work gallery is not for sale. Product billing for Tidalux stays on tidalux.io.
I recommend Stripe when you need compliant card handling, subscriptions, and an API your Laravel app can trust without storing PANs.

Store STRIPE_KEY and STRIPE_SECRET in .env. Use test cards in development.
Verify signatures, handle events idempotently, and never trust client-side amounts. Queue webhook processing in production.
Paid packs live at stripe. Set STRIPE_KEY, STRIPE_SECRET, and STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET. Delivery email uses Proton SMTP once MAIL_PASSWORD is set.

Fees on every transaction. Account review for some business types. Webhook idempotency is your responsibility.
